If I owned a BB gun I'd camp out and wait... k, I'm all talk... but I'm still in a bad mood about my plant!!
I got this gorgeous red pepper plant on Saturday from the Home Depot ... I also bought zucchini, yellow squash and two tomato plants because almost none of my darn seedlings made it through the 50 mph gusting wind a few weeks ago.
I was so excited to plant these new plants that I went straight home and got to work, filling my tires with grass clippings and then dirt (and some kind of humus/manure dirt thinger???) and I gently pealed back the peat pot and planted my new stuff and even planted some more potatoes too since I had seeds to use up. (I know, tires? Not the most awesome thing to see from my neighbors lawns... so I've done what I can to try to make it look organized... at the least. I've been thinking about painting the white buckets pretty colors but I don't want it to look tacky... *ahem* tackier...)
Anyway I'm still steamed about it... some darn animal (I assume a rabbit) ate my gorgeous red pepper plant!!! Right down to the top of the dirt. It's GONE. Not the wind this time. It was eaten! And that was the only thing eaten! The plant I want to grow the most and it's eaten less than 48 hours after planting!
I bought a new red pepper plant today. AND I bought the green fencing and posts! Nobody's eating my peppers but ME! I'm just bummed because I didn't want to sink any more money into my gardening project... it's reusable for next year though so I'll get over it...
This is not quite the gardening blog I meant to write up weeks ago, but that's what's up with the gardening junk right now.
I made some really awesome (healthy-ish) chocolatey dessert type snacky things this week so I'll blog about that next! :) I have pictures!!
